About Me
I live in Winchester, VA with my wife Heather, my stepdaughter Autumn (13), and our sons Tommy (8) and Henry (3). We share our home with our two cats, Smokey and Luna.
I tend to be a very private person, so there isn't a huge amount of personal information on this site, but you are welcome to peruse what's here.

I have spent my entire adult life working in the software business. I'm a passionate advocate and user of Open Source software. This page is part of my effort to give back to that community.
Most of my current projects are being done with Perl and Hadoop. I'm also doing extensive work with non-relational databases, primarily Hbase.

While I've dabbled in photography since childhood, I didn't begin studying it in earnest until 2007. I'm currently working in the genres of portrature and fine art.
I do most of my work using a Canon 40D with my EF-S 17-55 f/2.8. I use Alien Bee B800s and a Canon 580ex II for lighting.
